Hi. My name is Doctor David Martin. I’m an Orthopaedic Surgeon. I practice Sports Medicine at Connecticut Orthopaedics. My philosophy with regards to patient care is the old-fashioned do unto others. Do unto others as you would like to be done unto you. And basically, I want to care for my patients the way I would like to be cared for or I’d like someone in my family to be cared for. That being said, I – I love interacting with my patients. I love being able to share in their – their – their problems. Share in their treatment. Share in their outcomes. There’s nothing better for me, than to see my patients, when all is said and done, and they’re fully recovered and basically, back into action. Many of them have regained their lives and it’s a very, very special feeling.

" Sure, here is the edited version:rrDespite the front desk scheduling an appointment at 10:45 am for my 15-year-old with a broken foot on a regular school day, they made us wait in the office for over 1 hour before being seen. Other than that, everything else was fine. "

Outpatient Shoulder Replacement Surgery

Shoulder replacement surgery (arthroplasty) is the third most common major joint replacement performed.  It has a very extensive track record and offers predictable pain relief and improved function to appropriate surgical candidates.

What Are Your Options When Your Rotator Cuff Can’t Be Repaired?

Shoulder pain, secondary to a rotator cuff tear, is one of the most common reasons for a visit to your doctor or orthopedic surgeon. The rotator cuff is a group of muscles that are deep in the shoulder surrounding the ball and socket joint and work to allow you to elevate your arm.  People often note discomfort and difficulty lifting their arm when there is a problem.
