Website Accessibility

At Connecticut Orthopaedics, we are committed to making our website easily accessible to all visitors. Our site strives to incorporate the recommendations of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0 AA) as published by the Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). We have implemented various methods to assess our accessibility, not limited to but including manual tests using screen readers and keyboard-only navigation. If you find a part of the site that you feel does not conform to WCAG 2.0 AA, please contact us by phone at 1.203.407.3500 to let us know so that we can make adjustments.

Accessibility Assistance
Connecticut Orthopaedics is committed to providing patients with disabilities meaningful access to our services, facilities, and medical equipment. Patients may contact us before an appointment to request accessibility assistance or discuss an access need. Assistance may include:
  • An accessible examination room
  • Accessible examination equipment
  • Assistance related to the use of a wheelchair, scooter, walker, or other mobility device
  • Transfer or positioning assistance
  • Communication assistance
  • Help navigating the office or check-in process
  • Other disability-related accommodations
How to Request Assistance
Please call 203-407-3500 and tell our scheduling team that you are requesting accessibility assistance. To help us prepare for your visit, please provide:
  • Your name and contact information
  • The date and location of your appointment
  • The provider or service you are scheduled to see
  • A description of the assistance or accommodation that would help you access your appointment
Our team will route the request to the appropriate location and contact you to confirm the arrangements or discuss any additional information that may be needed. We encourage patients to contact us as early as possible before an appointment so that we have time to prepare. Patients may also ask any Connecticut Orthopaedics staff member for assistance upon arrival. If an accessibility need cannot be addressed immediately, the request will be escalated to the appropriate site or clinical leader so that available options can be reviewed with the patient.
