Dr. William Conaway is a highly skilled spine surgeon with a focus on state-of-the-art, minimally invasive procedures for the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine. His academic journey includes achieving a B.A. in Biology from Dartmouth College and obtaining his medical degree from the Pennsylvania State College of Medicine.
He further honed his expertise through a comprehensive residency at the esteemed Rothman Orthopaedic Institute and Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia. Following this, he pursued specialized training in orthopaedic and neurosurgical spine surgery through a fellowship at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago.
Committed to enhancing patient care, Dr. Conaway is dedicated to developing tailored treatment plans that integrate the latest advancements in spine surgery. He is currently available to consult with patients at our Shelton, Trumbull, Westport and Fairfield offices.
In addition to his clinical pursuits, Dr. Conaway is an accomplished researcher and author, having contributed to numerous scientific articles and book chapters. His research findings have been presented at various national conferences. Dr. Conaway holds a strong interest in progressive approaches to perioperative pain management. He is an active member of esteemed professional organizations, including the North American Spine Society (NASS), the Lumbar Spine Research Society (LSRS), and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
Dr. Conaway resides in Fairfield, CT and enjoys spending time with his wife and family.
