He is a member of the American Academy for Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American Medical Association and a diplomate of the American board of Orthopaedic Surgery.

Full Biography

Thomas P. Moran joined Connecticut Orthopaedics, in October 1996. His areas of expertise are adult and pediatric fracture care, hand/elbow surgery, arthroscopy, and tendon repairs.

Dr. Moran completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering with distinction at Cornell University in Ithaca, NY. He then went on to Cornell University Medical School, New York, NY, where he received The T. Campbell Thompson prize in Orthopaedics and was inducted into the AOA Medical Honor Society.

He began his surgical training with a General Surgical Internship at the University of Hawaii, and from there, completed his Orthopaedic Surgical Residency and Hand and Microvascular fellowship at the Hospital for Special Surgery, New York, NY.

He is a member of the American Academy for Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Medical Association and a diplomate of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.

Dr. Moran is married to Dr. Meena Moran, a Professor of Radiation Oncology at Yale-New Haven Hospital. They have two sons and a daughter and reside in Guilford.
