Dr. Monica Stadecker is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in surgery of the shoulder and elbow. Her specific focus includes shoulder and elbow replacement, revision replacement surgery, rotator cuff repair, management of shoulder instability, and arthroscopy of the shoulder and elbow.
Dr. Stadecker grew up in Newton, MA and earned her undergraduate and medical school degrees at Tufts University in Boston, MA. She then completed her residency training at George Washington University. In addition to a Doctor of Medicine, she also earned a Master of Business Administration while at Tufts University School of Medicine. This dual-degree program equipped her with both medical expertise and leadership skills crucial for a successful career in orthopedics.
Dr. Stadecker’s training culminated with a Shoulder and Elbow Fellowship at the prestigious Florida Orthopaedic Institute in Tampa, FL. There, she gained tremendous experience treating complex shoulder and elbow conditions, with specific expertise in shoulder arthroplasty and revision shoulder arthroplasty.
Dr. Stadecker is a Fellow of the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and plans to continue her contribution to the field through patient-centered outcomes and quality research, teaching and academic journal peer review. With a dedication to advancing orthopedic care and a commitment to patient-centered treatment, Dr. Stadecker is poised to make a significant impact in the field of shoulder and elbow surgery.
In her free time, Dr. Stadecker enjoys fitness, travel, and photography. She currently resides in New Haven and is excited to return to the Northeast as part of the Connecticut Orthopaedics team.
