Dr. John M. Keggi is a Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon with over 38 years of experience, specializing in adult hip and knee replacement surgeries. He earned his medical degree from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and completed his residency at Yale-New Haven Hospital. Dr. Keggi has completed fellowships in pediatric orthopaedics and in adult hip and knee reconstruction.
He has been performing direct anterior approach (DAA) hip replacement since 1990 and has taught the technique to many colleagues worldwide. He has been a pioneer in DAA hip resurfacing for active patients. He is also a national and international leader in advanced knee robotics and computer navigation with numerous peer-reviewed papers and presentations in the U.S. and abroad. His specialized techniques range from minimally-invasive procedures and rapid recovery protocols to major hip and knee revision.
