Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced, team-oriented Human Resources Manager to join our welcoming & engaging team of HR Professionals. The position is full-time, fully benefited, with a luxury suite of offerings, and generous time off. The position is in Hamden, CT, with some remote work options available after a period of on-site employment.

This position will be responsible for managing the administrative staff in the department, manage most of the employee relation issues with hiring managers, leadership and employees, and work closely with the Director of HR on department initiatives that including bettering our collection and analysis of data metrics, development & execution of manager level training throughout the organization on items such as FMLA, timecard management, and conducting performance evaluations. Benefit Administration is a key functional area that the HR manager will own, so experience managing open enrollment campaigns and working closely with insurance brokers and responding to employee questions is key.

Working collaboratively within the HR department and throughout the organization is needed to achieve success in this role. Discernment on all HR matters is a requirement. Flexibility, a willingness to learn and lend a hand are personal characteristics we are seeking in our candidate!

Education/Experience requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or equivalent related work experience.
  • Prior supervisory/management experience within a human resources department required.
  • Experience managing employee relations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite – word, excel especially.
  • HRIS system experience, a must.
  • SHRM certification a plus!
