The Corporate Trainer is responsible for design, delivery, and the continuous improvement of training programs; conducts needs assessment, execute training, develop reinforcements, and evaluate. This position will have significant collaboration with business unit leaders in Operations, Information Technology, Revenue Cycle Management and Human Resources.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Develop and instruct new hire training with focus on clinical applications, user access and operations. Design effective training programs and assessment tools and timelines.
  • Coordinate administrative and clinical observation with internal preceptors
  • Arrange new hire departmental training/observation to understand how the organization is connected in close collaboration with HR
  • Contribute to onboarding improvements, discussions, develop and maintain operational and educational needs
  • Create, track and manage training evaluation process via competency assessment tools
  • Design and maintain reference guides and other educational & training tools and resources
  • Manage and instruct educational training courses for newly released workflows/applications and annual training requirements
  • Create competency assessments/mock workflows to affirm retention of training or identify further training needs
  • Responsible for follow-up with new hire throughout first 90 days post training and assuming role
  • Receive advisement from senior managers on performance of personnel for further skill assessment & development
  • Liaison with managers to determine training needs and schedule training sessions
  • Timecard and performance review management for any direct reports.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Must be an EPIC EMR expert, with previous EPIC training experience to mid-large size medical groups
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentations
  • Exceptional EMR and related applications (Phreesia, OBERD, Updox, Ambra) knowledge helpful
  • Ability to be creative and resourceful with scheduling
  • Have an in-depth understanding of the clinical operations
  • Strategic & critical thinking abilities
  • Excellent computer skills

Experience/Educational requirements:

EDUCATION: Graduation from High School is required; Bachelor’s in healthcare, management, or related field is preferred. Certification as Trainer preferred, certification in software development (design or QA, testing) or systems, preferred

EXPERIENCE: Training and educational experience required, EHR super user required, experience in coaching employees required.
