Brooke E. Gouveia, APRN, MSN, FNP-C, ONC
Brooke E. Gouveia attended Southern Connecticut State University for her bachelor of science degree in nursing. She was a member of the Honor’s College and successfully authored and defended an honors level research thesis. She graduated Cum Laude in 2010 with departmental honors in Nursing. After graduation, she spent six years working as a registered nurse at the bedside in neurosurgery and orthopedic surgery at Yale New Haven Hospital’s St. Raphael Campus. Upon completion of her masters education at Sacred Heart University in 2016, she transitioned into the role of mid-level provider for the Orthopedic Surgery Department of Yale New Haven Hospital’s St. Raphael Campus. She spent about 6 months there working on a busy, inpatient service before accepting a position in private practice with Dr. John D. McCallum III of Connecticut Orthopedic Specialists where she now specializes in total and partial knee replacement. She spends the majority of her time assisting Dr. McCallum in surgery at MidState Medical Center as well as treating patients in the clinic setting three days per week. She is certified in orthopedics by the Orthopedic Nursing Certification Board (ONCB) and a board certified nurse practitioner (ANCC). She lives in central Connecticut with her husband and their 7 year old chihuahua, Lilly. She enjoys reading, trying new restaurants, traveling and spending lots of time with family and friends. She finds an immense amount of pleasure spending time with her patients and helping them to feel their very best.
