- David S. Caminear, D.P.M. joined Connecticut Orthopaedic Specialists in 1996 being the
first podiatric surgeon in Connecticut to associate with an orthopaedic practice. He
provides comprehensive foot care with expertise in reconstructive foot surgery, trauma to
the foot and diabetic limb salvage.

- Dr. Caminear is a New Haven native who graduated from the
University of Vermont in 1986. Following two years of research at the Brigham and Woman's
Hospital and Harvard Medical School, he graduated summa cum laude from the William M.
Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine, Chicago, Illinois in 1992. He completed his
residency training in Podiatric Surgery at Edgewater Medical Center, Chicago, Illinois in
1994.

- In 2002, Dr. Caminear was appointed section chief of
podiatric surgery at the Hospital of St. Raphael. He is also on the attending staff at the
VA Connecticut Healthcare System and Yale-New Haven Hospital. A scientific author and
lecturer, Dr. Caminear is an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of
Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation, Yale University School of Medicine. He serves as an
attending physician in the foot and ankle clinic and is active in teaching the podiatric
surgery and orthopaedic surgery residents at Yale-New Haven and affiliated hospitals.

- Each year, as a volunteer foot surgeon with Healing the
Children, Inc., Dr. Caminear travels with a team of healthcare professionals to a third
world country to perform surgery on children with congenital and paralytic foot and ankle
disorders. He recently established Outreach International, Inc., a non-profit organization
dedicated to furthering volunteer medical missions abroad.

- Dr. Caminear is board certified by the American Board of
Podiatric Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. He
is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and resides in Branford with his
wife Christine, their son Michael and daughter Carolyn.
